Environmentally friendly mobility

“How to fulfil the growing need for mobility without damaging the environment?” Siemens answers this question with an integrated traffic concept and an extensive range of climate-friendly vehicles and components. Siemens demonstrates a particularly environmentally friendly innovation at this year's UITP Congress in Vienna (June 7 – 11): the Sitras HES energy storage system, which enables trams to travel up to 2,500 meters without overhead contact lines and cut energy consumption by as much as 30 percent each year.
