New organizational structure of Siemens AG as of January 1, 2008

On November 28, 2007, the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG announced the new organizational structure of our company. Siemens organizes it's operations in three Sectors with a total of 15 Divisions. The Managing Board will be adapted to reflect the company’s new structure and reduced in size from eleven to eight members. A complete outline can be found in the press releases below.

Siemens appoints Ralf P. Thomas new CFO for Industry Sector

Siemens has appointed Ralf P. Thomas (46) – currently head of Siemens’ Corporate Finance Reporting & Taxes unit – the new CFO of the company’s Industry Sector. His appointment follows Siemens’ precautionary revocation of the appointment of Hannes Apitzsch, who had originally been selected for the position of Industry Sector CFO.

CFO appointment for the Industry Sector revoked

Siemens examined this week the investigation records of the Nuremberg public prosecutor’s office regarding the AUB case. This requires a reevaluation of the compliance screening of Hannes Apitzsch by Debevoise & Plimpton as well as by the company’s lawyers. As a result, the company revoked precautionary his appointment as CFO of the Industry Sector. A new appointment for the position will be decided and announced promtly.
