Siemens: No further material burdens from major projects

Siemens has completed its review of major projects in the Power Generation Group (PG) and made substantial progress in its review of projects at Transportation Systems (TS). A number of critical projects on the order books of the Siemens IT Solutions and Services Group in the UK have also been analyzed.

Mobility Division aims at securing sustainable profits

The Mobility Division is currently developing its “Mobility in Motion” program as a supplementary effort to secure profitability. The goal is to reach and sustain the Division’s medium-term margin target range of 5 to 7 percent. Division structures, organization and portfolio will be analyzed and appropriate measures for cost improvements will be identified – in areas like procurement, manufacturing, sales, administration, and project management – to reach this goal. Implementation of the “Mobility in Motion” program will begin in October 2008 at the latest.

Debevoise reports to the Supervisory Board

At the meeting of the Supervisory Board of Siemens AG on April 29, 2008, the international law firm Debevoise & Plimpton LLP reported on the current status of its investigation of compliance violations in the company. The Compliance Committee of the Supervisory Board was informed to the fullest extent the day before.
