Once again Siemens Medical Solutions sets new benchmarks for diagnostic imaging. For the first time worldwide the Magnetom Verio magnetic resonance imaging system (MRI) combines 3 Tesla ultra-high field technology with a 70 centimeter magnet bore for the patient. Thus, Siemens again demonstrates its innovative leadership in open MRI systems. In 2004 the company presented Magnetom Espree, an MRI system where the then standard 60 cm magnet bore was extended to 70 cm for the first time. The Magnetom Verio combines 3 Tesla, 70 centimeters and Tim (Total imaging matrix) technology to provide excellent image quality, superior diagnostic quality and exceptional patient comfort. Moreover, the design of the system facilitates the diagnosis of obese and claustrophobic patients, or in some cases, makes the examination possible in the first place. Tim technology simplifies workflows and increases patient throughput.
