Siemens IT Solutions and Services has won two outsourcing orders in Denmark: Siemens will operate the entire IT infrastructure for the biotechnology company Novozymes and the computer centers for the energy utility Dong Energy. Both orders are extensions to existing contracts, will run until 2010 and are jointly worth around 8 million euros.
"Operation and maintenance of our servers are essential to ensure that our 4,500 employees can reliably supply more than a million Danish customers with energy and gas during more than just the cold season", comments Michael Moesgaard, Vice President of the IT Group at Dong Energy. The computer centers are being looked after in part by Siemens experts based in India, where Siemens has locations within its global network of service centers.
According to industry analysts Siemens IT Solutions and Services extends its outsourcing contracts more often than practically any other IT provider – proof of a high level of customer satisfaction, as in the case of Novozymes: "There were not one, but many reasons that spoke in favor of Siemens IT Solutions and Services: an attractive price, Siemens' flexibility and the good partnership we already enjoy", says Anders Brøns Petersen, CIO of Novozymes.
Novozymes is the world market leader for bio-innovation. Together with customers from other industries, the company has developed more than 700 products that have helped customers in 130 countries to optimize their business and global use of resources. www.novozymes.com
