The battle to mitigate global climate change will take place primarily in cities, which are home to over half of the world’s population. Urban centers account for roughly 80 percent of the harmful greenhouse gases emitted around the globe. Using the British capital as an example, the Sustainable London exhibition illustrates how cities can achieve ambitious environ-mental goals while cutting costs.
Based on a study entitled Sustainable Urban Infrastructure – London: A View to 2025, the exhibition focuses on infrastructure topics such as building management, transportation, energy, and water and waste management.
