In the future, electric cars will be equipped with a quick charging function, enabling them to charge up within a short time. Cars could then be recharged within a few minutes at charging stations, similarly to current filling stations. Integrated charging technology systems for vehicles are currently under development at Siemens. These systems operate with considerably higher voltage and amperage to quickly replenish the batteries.
