“Science Express” a unique mobile exhibition, will be making stops at the train stations of 60 German cities through November. It is intended to illustrate to visitors, and young people in particular, the importance of research and technology in Germany. The 12-car train was conceived by the Max Planck Society and is part of the central events marking the 60th anniversary of the founding of the Federal Republic of Germany. Siemens, one of three corporate partners in the train project, has 13 exhibits on display in the elaborately designed coaches. Visitors can embark on an exciting journey to the world of tomorrow and learn about such topics as energy and the environment, health, mobility and urban life. Each car is dedicated to one main topic. The exhibits’ futuristic designs and presentations plus numerous interactive activities provide visitors with information about new technologies and pioneering science projects in a clear and exciting manner.
