For the recently founded pay-TV company "Sun Direct TV Private Limited", Siemens IT Solutions and Services will implement an Oracle-based solution for billing and revenue management. The solution would not only encompass the billing cycle, but also serve as a graphic user interface at Sun Direct’s call center to attend to and resolve customer issues. The solution will also offer users a self-care module which allows them to interact directly with the system through the Internet and perform actions such as topping-up membership, viewing account related information, ordering pay-per-view movies. The IT solution also interacts with the backend SAP system for Financial Accounting, Materials Management and Inventory control. Sun Direct is part of the Sun Network, the second largest broadcaster in India and the largest regional broadcaster operating 14 TV channels and 45 FM radio stations.

These orders reinforce Siemens' world-leading position as a supplier of IT solutions and infrastructures in the media sector. This follows on from two digitalization orders received recently from the two British broadcasting companies ITV and BBC.
