Siemens AG has retained former German Foreign Minister Joschka Fischer and former U.S. Secretary of State Madeleine Albright as consultants on topics relating to foreign affairs and corporate strategy. The unparalleled range of experience and unique networks at the disposal of these two prominent individuals will augment the company’s strategic position as one of the world’s leading providers of answers and solutions to the challenges arising from the megatrends globalization, urbanization, climate change and shifting demographics. Consulting will be provided on related social and geopolitical issues and the changing balance in the global economy. A respective agreement was signed in Berlin in mid-October.
